Sunrise Stories: Meet Rashon

It’s the season of belonging and your generosity ensures that clients like Rashon can reunite with their families for the holidays and beyond! Thank you.

Recently released from jail with no money, identification, or way to contact loved ones, Rashon found himself camping in a wooded encampment, unsure where to turn.

That’s when Sunrise Mobile outreach team members, Kiki and Linda, stepped in. They listened to his story, learned he had family in San Antonio who missed him, and immediately took action.

With your financial support, Sunrise was able to provide Rashon with hygiene supplies, food, and a CapMetro bus pass to reach the Greyhound Station, where a same-day ticket was waiting for him!

By 5 p.m., Rashon was on his way home for dinner.

His brother, Carlos, picked him up and later called Kiki and Linda to share his heartfelt gratitude. A family reunited—because of compassionate care made possible by donors like you.

Everyone deserves to belong. This season, you transforms lives, providing hope and connection to those who need it most. Thank you!
