Host a Supply Drive

Sunrise Supply Drives are crucial to help meet the immediate needs of our unhoused friends by collecting items like clothing, hygiene supplies, and food. It is also one of the best ways to raise awareness about homelessness in our community. By hosting a Sunrise Supply Drive, your business, organization, school, church, or community group will make a direct impact on those we serve.

How to Host a Supply Drive

  • Step 1: Get Started

    Review our most needed items and select what kind of supply drive you want to host: Food, DIY Hygiene Kits, DIY First Aid Kits, Camping Gear, or General.

    Fill out the form to let us know the kind of supply drive you would like to host, the date and time of your event, and how we can help!

  • Step 2: Download your Materials

    We have created flyers and social media graphics to help you promote your Sunrise Supply Drive! Click to download or open in Canva. If you would like to request additional materials, email us at events@sunriseausitn.org.

  • Step 3: Spread the Word

    Most people want to help, they just need to be asked. Send emails, hand out postcards or flyers, or post on social media to raise awareness about your event. Bring up the supply drive at meetings and group gatherings leading up to the event and ask guests to bring donated items.

  • Step 4: Make it Easy to Donate

    Pick a central location for people to drop off their items. For office or school drives, make sure you have collection boxes at several locations. You can also collect items during a holiday party or office gathering. Monetary donations, gift cards, and direct Amazon purchases are also welcome!

  • Step 5: Deliver Your Donations to Sunrise

    You can drop off your donations Monday through Friday from 9 AM to 1 PM at 4430 Menchaca Drive, Austin, Texas 78745 or schedule a special time to drop-off at events@sunriseaustin.org.

  • Step 6: Celebrate Your Success!

    Remember to thank those who donated! Post pictures of your donations on social media and other communications. Don’t forget to tag us on Facebook, Instagram, or LinkedIn!
