Donate Items to Sunrise

Sunrise accepts gently used items, food, and gift cards to empower people experiencing homelessness. In-kind donations can be dropped off at our Hub location Monday to Friday from 9:00 am - 1:00 pm. Please submit an In-Kind Donation Request for items not on the following list, large items like furniture, or specialty items like appliances. 

During extreme weather and holidays, we have special needs for in-kind donations. To learn more about what items you can donate to Sunrise please email us at development@sunriseaustin.org.

Most needed items include:

  • Gift Cards (HEB, Gas, Walmart, Target, etc)

  • Camping Gear (Tents, Sleeping Bags, etc)

  • Batteries (AA, AAA, etc)

  • Clothing and Shoes (All sizes and genders)

  • Undergarments (All sizes and genders)

  • Socks (All sizes and genders)

  • Hygiene Supplies (Travel sizes only)

  • Shelf Stable Pantry Items (Pasta, Sauce, Beans, Rice, etc)

  • Coffee, Sugar and Creamer (Bulk sizes)

  • Paper Goods (Plates, cups, utensils, and napkins)

  • Towels (For showering)

HOST A SUPPLY DRIVE

Sunrise Supply Drives are crucial to help meet the immediate needs of our unhoused friends by collecting items like clothing, hygiene supplies, and food. It is also one of the best ways to raise awareness about homelessness in our community. By hosting a Sunrise Supply Drive, your business, organization, school, church, or community group will make a direct impact on those we serve.

how to drop-off supplies

Supplies and in-kind donations can be dropped off Monday through Friday from 8:30 am - 1:30 pm at the Sunrise Hub.

When you pull into the parking lot there will be a donation sign on our donation shed to direct you to ring the doorbell. Please ring the doorbell and someone will come outside to assist you with your supply drop-off.

The Sunrise Hub (4430 Menchaca Rd, Austin, TX 78745) offers in-person services

Monday through Friday - 9:00 am - 1:00 pm. Clients begin lining up at 8:00 am, and services begin at 9:00 am.
