When Kiki, a Sunrise Mobile outreach worker, saw Sarah on 7th Street holding a sign, “Six months pregnant…need help”, she jumped into action.
Though Sarah hesitated to seek help, Kiki and the Sunrise team never gave up.
In October, Kiki helped Sarah reunite with her mom, move into a shelter, and take her to her first ultrasound at 31 weeks.
Sunrise connected Sarah to a recovery program and soon after, she gave birth to a healthy baby girl!
At Christmas, Sarah celebrated surrounded by family and the support she worked to rebuild.
