This fall, your generous support, made it possible for Sunrise to house our 1,600th client, Brittney! But to us, 1,600 is much more than a number.

This Giving Tuesday, we honor Brittney’s journey and challenge you to empower others to break the cycle of homelessness with a gift this holiday season. Plus, when you donate today, it will be matched up to $25,000, thanks to an anonymous Sunrise supporter!

Brittney, a resilient mother, was referred to the Sunrise Housing program with an Emergency Housing Voucher after spending months living on the streets of Austin, TX.

As part of our permanent supportive housing services, Brittney was paired with a Sunrise Case Manager, Sawyer, who worked to secure an apartment that would welcome a family with an eviction record and four teenage boys.

In four months, Brittney gained independence, rebuilt family relationships, developed life skills, and embraced sobriety. She secured employment and witnessed her son’s baptism, thanks to the power of community.
