Sunrise's community impact is fueled by 450+ volunteers who give their time and energy to make our mission possible every day! From our Hub volunteers who serve multiple times a week to our once-a-month lawn maintenance team we partner with individuals, families, groups and those who need to complete community service to serve over 6,500 clients each year.

This opportunity includes prepping and serving donated food, coffee and other items to our clients at our Hub location. This opportunity is for individuals 18 years old and up. Shifts are available Monday through Friday. There are three shifts: a full shift from 8:15 am to 1:30 pm, shift A from 8:15 am - 11:00 am or shift B from 11:00 am - 1:30 pm. Sunrise receive bags of clothing donations on a daily basis at our Hub location and need we help sorting and organizing! We have a volunteer clothing team that you would join, remote sorting where you could come on Saturday to pick up and bring back, or you can sort on at the Hub location. Lanscaping and groundskeeping helps keep our property nice and clean for our clients. Tasks include landscaping, painting, organizing, etc. at our Hub location. This opportunity is flexible, but regularly happens on Saturdays from 10:00 am - 1:00 pm. We also have one Saturday a month where there are larger projects happening. Sunrise gets food donations on a weekly basis that need to be cooked into meals. Volunteers pick-up ingredients and meal pans from our pantry at the Hub location and bring it back for us to serve. This is the ultimate "quaranteering" opportunity! Home-cooked meals are always a favorite with our clients. We can provide meal ideals or you can enjoy using your creativity like on the TV show "Chopped". Fill out the individual interest form to get started.

Sunrise gets food donated from other organizations, restaurants, or caterers. Volunteers pick-up the food donations and deliver them to our Hub location. Fill out the individual interest form to get started.

Sunrise has a small staff and always needs help with fundraising, website, storytelling, videography, photography, graphic design and more! On the second Saturday of every month volunteers come together onsite at the Sunrise Hub located at 4430 Menchaca Rd from 10:00 am - 12:00 pm to get hands on. Tasks range from sorting donated items, making hygiene kits, and hanging clothing to helping with special projects or sorting mail. There's something for everyone!

Bring your group for a visit to our Hub location to get hands-on in our cafe or participate in one of our special group volunteer projects. Our group volunteer opportunities range based on the size of the group, budget, and our staff's time and resources to host a wonderful experience for all.
Group volunteer events should be scheduled at least one month in advance and will be confirmed on a first-come, first-served basis.
